17th EAI International Conference on Wireless Internet

Countdown Expired!

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

17th EAI International Conference on Wireless Internet

There has been unprecedented advancement in information technology in the last two decades. In particular, Internet connectivity and Internet usage have seen tremendous growth. Recent statistics show 5.18 billion Internet users worldwide, close to 65% of the global population. In addition, there are close to 4.8 billion social media users. The advancement of technology is a double-edged sword. While we enjoy the benefits, people with malicious intent exploit these technological advances. Since most of the worldwide population is connected to the Internet, criminals are more interested in launching cybercrime than ever. Recent statistics show that cybercrime costs are projected to hit an annual $10.5 trillion annually by 2025. Building on past successes, the 17th WiCON 2024 aims to tackle the challenges of Wireless Internet-related technologies, covering topics ranging from technology issues to new applications, mainly focusing on current, novel, and future next generation wireless Internet technologies, critical infrastructures and their security, and related topics. WiCON 2024 aims to bring together academic researchers, leading scientists, and industry practitioners to share their experiences and findings on all Wireless systems and security aspects. It also offers a leading interdisciplinary forum for academics, educators, and practitioners to present and discuss the latest technologies, developments, practical challenges, and approaches to attain a sustainable Internet ecosystem. Prospective authors are encouraged to participate in the conference by submitting their scholarly contributions to advancing various aspects of Wireless Internet and Cybersecurity. Several options include full-length research papers, work-in-progress papers, and idea papers or posters. In addition, interested parties can arrange workshops focusing on specific themes. Industry experts from private and government sectors are also welcome to showcase state-of-the-art practices and participate in the round table discussion sessions. WiCON attendees will present novel ideas, exchange ideas, and foster international collaborations.
