Scope and Topics
There has been unprecedented advancement in information technology in the last two decades. In particular, Internet connectivity and Internet usage have seen tremendous growth. Recent statistics show 5.18 billion Internet users worldwide, close to 65% of the global population. In addition, there are close to 4.8 billion social media users. The advancement of technology is a double-edged sword. While we enjoy the benefits, people with malicious intent exploit these technological advances. Since most of the worldwide population is connected to the Internet, criminals are more interested in launching cybercrime than ever. Recent statistics show that cybercrime costs are projected to hit an annual $10.5 trillion annually by 2025.
Building on past successes, the 17th WiCON 2024 aims to tackle the challenges of Wireless Internet-related technologies, covering topics ranging from technology issues to new applications, mainly focusing on current, novel, and future next generation wireless Internet technologies, critical infrastructures and their security, and related topics. WiCON 2024 aims to bring together academic researchers, leading scientists, and industry practitioners to share their experiences and findings on all Wireless systems and security aspects. It also offers a leading interdisciplinary forum for academics, educators, and practitioners to present and discuss the latest technologies, developments, practical challenges, and approaches to attain a sustainable Internet ecosystem. Prospective authors are encouraged to participate in the conference by submitting their scholarly contributions to advancing various aspects of Wireless Internet and Cybersecurity. Several options include full-length research papers, work-in-progress papers, and idea papers or posters. In addition, interested parties can arrange workshops focusing on specific themes.
Industry experts from private and government sectors are also welcome to showcase state-of-the-art practices and participate in the round table discussion sessions. WiCON attendees will present novel ideas, exchange ideas, and foster international collaborations.

Publication
All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library: WiCON Conference Proceedings.
WiCON proceedings are indexed in leading indexing services, such as Web of Science, Compendex, Scopus, DBLP, EU Digital Library, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Inspec, and Zentralblatt MATH.
Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:
All accepted authors are eligible to submit an extended version in a fast track of:
- EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems (Open Access)
- EAI Endorsed Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications (Open Access)
Additional publication opportunities:
- EAI/Springer Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics, Telecommunications Engineering – LNICST
(titles in this series are indexed in Ei Compendex, Web of Science & Scopus)
By paying an additional $150, authors can publish their articles in the EAI Endorsed Transactions journal selected by the conference (Scopus and Ei-indexed). The article’s publication is subject to the following requirements:
– It must be an extended version of the conference paper with a different title and abstract. In general, 30% of new content must be added.
– The article will be processed once the conference proceedings have been published.
– The article will be processed using the fast-track option.
– Once the conference proceedings are published, the corresponding author should contact us at [email protected] with the details of their article to begin processing
The Best Paper Award
The Best Paper Award will be selected by Technical Program Committee and the Authors will be awarded a Certificate by EAI.
Paper Submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
