Flying to Maui:

There are 2 airports on Maui; the main airport is about 45 minutes from the conference hotel (Sheraton Maui Resort & SPA). The airport is Kahului International Airport, airport code is OGG. The other airport is the Kapalua Airport, airport code JHM, a very small airport used mostly for inter-island flights. But if you want to fly in closest to the conference hotel, the airport is only about 5 minutes from the conference hotel. Most arrivals to Maui do arrive at Kahului.

Local Transportation:

The best way to get from the airport to the conference hotel is by taxi, which costs about $88.00 from the airport to Ka’anapali. Speedi Shuttle is a shuttle that makes multiple stops at other resorts and drops guests off at their resorts and hotels. Reservations can be made in advance by calling them at 877-242-5777, or stopping by their window at the airport which is open during all arriving flights.

Maui just recently has enhanced their public transportation system. The Maui Bus is an option to get around the island, but is sometimes time consuming with many stops. Most guests to Maui choose to rent a car so they are in control of their time and when they are ready to move onto the next exciting activity!
