Shanghai has two major airports:
 

Pudong International Airport

 
    Shanghai Pudong International Airport is the primary international airport serving Shanghai, China. The Airport is located about 52 kilometres (33 miles) away from the conference venue - Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS),  and 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of the city centre. Pudong Airport is considered one of the busiest in the world serving about 194 destinations.
 
    Pudong Airport is connected to the city's urban rail network through Metro Line 2 and the Shanghai Maglev Train. It is recommended to take the Metro Line Line 2 train from Pudong International Airport to Zhong Shan Park. The Metro Line 2 from Pudong International Airport to Zhong Shan Park takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes (22 stations away). The train operates from 6.00am to 10.00pm daily. One way fare costs RMB 7.
 
    Taxi and city shuttle buses can be found on the ground floor of the domestic and international arrival halls. Taxis are metered, and fare between Pudong International Airport and the conference venue generally costs around RMB 200 one way.
 
 

Hongqiao International Airport

 
    Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is the main domestic airport serving Shanghai, China, with fewer international flights. It is located near the town of Hongqiao in Changning District, about 13 kilometres from the conference venue - Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and 13 kilometres west of downtown. Hongqiao International Airport is closer to the venue than Pudong Airport.
 
    The Metro Line 2 from Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 to Zhong Shan Park takes around 20 minutes (5 stations away). The train operates from 5.30am to 10.45pm daily. One way fare costs RMB 4.
 
    If you arrive at Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1, please first take Metro Line 10 to Hongqiao Airprot Terminal 2, then transfer to Metro Line 2 to Zhong Shan Park.
 
    Taxi service is also very handy at Hongqiao International Airport and generally costs around RMB 45 one way.
 
 
 
 
Shanghai has three major railway stations:
 

Shanghai Railway Station

    Please first take Metro Line 1 to People's Square, then transfer to Metro Line 2 to Zhong Shan Park.  One way fare costs RMB 4.

 

Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station

    The Metro Line 2 from Hongqiao Railway Station to Zhong Shan Park takes around 20 minutes (6 stations away). The train operates from 5.30am to 10.45pm daily. One way fare costs RMB 4.

 

Shanghai South Railway Station

    The Metro Line 3 from Shanghai South Railway Station to Zhong Shan Park takes around 20 minutes (7 stations away). The train operates from 5.25am to 10.30pm daily. One way fare costs RMB 4.
